A South African Airways Boeing 737-800, flight SA-182 from Johannesburg (South Africa) to Nairobi (Kenya), was descending towards Nairobi about 20 minutes prior to estimated landing, when a large male passenger aged about 30-40 got up and wanted to immediately leave the airplane attempting to open one of the airplane doors. A flight attendant tried to calm the passenger and return him to the seat, however was knocked over, scrambled to his feet again still keeping his cool and while checking all doors including the cockpit door to be properly closed finally pursuaded the passenger to return to his seat. The airplane landed safely, Kenyan police took the passenger into custody.
A court hearing has been scheduled for Thursday (Oct 22nd).
